I loved Île de la Cité so much that I thought of taking a walk around this historical island once again. This is where the history of this magnificent city was written, crafted and sculpted.
Whichever building I see here seems to be talking of history - a glorious past that we know of, an untold past that lies hidden somewhere, that we can perhaps only imagine about.
As I walk towards Île de la Cité, I can not only feel the warmth of the sunny day but also the warmth of Paris...
A time for many to sit and watch Paris move...
At the Hôtel de Ville - a campaign to free Asia Bibi, a Pakistani Christian who had been accused of blasphemy for drinking from a village well...
Hôtel de Ville is a magnificent building...
Sculptures at the Hôtel de Ville...
It is indeed a lovely day...
Crossing over to Île de la Cité...
And gently flows the Seine...
A view of the Tribunal de commerce and the Conciergerie...
The Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris...
The Ministry of Justice...
Walking towards the Conciergerie...
The bridge called Pont au Change...
The Conciergerie...
A view of La Fontaine du Palmier at the Place du Châtelet from across the Seine...
Palais de Justice - it was also known as the Palais de la Cité...
The tower of the Sainte-Chapelle, the royal medieval Gothic chapel, located near the Palais de Justice...
A final look at the Conciergerie - this is where Marie Antoinette was held before she was guillotined...
As I cross over to the right bank, I spot the iconic Eiffel Tower...
Hotel du Louvre...
