Les Charmes de Fontainebleau-Avon...

My exploration of the commune of Fonatinebleau continues. I set out from Rue St. Merry towards the Fontainebleau-Avon railway station passing through Boulevard de Constance. The weather was quite pleasant and cool thanks to the overcast skies, and that made for an easy bicycle ride...

The commune of Avon shares its boundary with Fointainebleau, almost as though the two are twin towns. As compared to Fontainebleau, Avon is a lot more modern, which is evident in the architecture here. Fontainebleau, on the other hand has quite a few medieval structures. There is a certain sleepiness to both the communes and life seems to move at its own, relaxed and leisurely pace here...

Maison dans la Vallée, a cultural complex located in the Butte Montceau area of Avon...

Danger of an electric shock...

Under the railway viaduct on Rue du Viaduc...

A medieval gateway...

Church of Saint Pierre had its origins in the 1100s, around the time the Château de Fontainebleau was built...

And I enter the pathways around the Le Grand Canal from Rue Père Maurice...

I intend sitting by the Grand Canal for a while and relax...

Finally here at the Grand Canal...

Moments of peace, in the midst of nature, these are the priceless charms of Fontainebleau-Avon...
