As we landed into Taipei's Taoyuan International Airport, the moisture in the air completely fogged out the windows. But there was some respite as we taxiied off the runway.
And that is when magic happened...
I spotted an absolute classic, vintage jet that still flies on the skies of Taiwan...
It's sad I got a grainy pic of this classic aircraft, thanks to the fogged out windows...
It was Far Eastern Air Transport's McDonnell Douglas MD-83. The MD-80 series was a developed as a variant to McDonnell Douglas' popular DC-9 aircraft. The MD-80 series retained the two rear fuselage-mounted engines and the classic T-tail. The MD-80 series entered service in 1980 and was renamed the Boeing 717-200 after McDonnell Douglas's merger with Boeing in 1997...
