After proceeding on the exploration of Korea's troubled frontier last week, this morning we headed to Gyeonggi-do from Seoul. Our first stop was Petite France on a hill besides Cheongpyeong Lake.
On this trip, we were joined by a few couples, one from Guam celebrating their honeymoon in Korea, another one from the Philippines on their anniversary trip and a Chinese family...
Petite France was the filming location of popular Korean dramas - Beethoven Virus, Secret Garden and The Man from the Stars. Today it is a theme park styled on the lines of a French village, hosting boutiques, cafes and tourist accommodation. Having been to France earlier this year, we were naturally drawn here.
