Exploring Koror...

After witnessing the horrors of war at Kaigun Sho in Airai, we drove down about 8 kilometres southwards to Koror city.

Heading towards Koror Island through a landmark of Palau - the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge, which is a miniature of the Bandra Worli Sea Link back home in Mumbai...

The bridge was completed in 2002 with Japanese assistance and replaces an older bridge that had collapsed in 1996...

Koror is in sight...

A storm seems to be brewing on the horizon...

An unusually busy day on what is called the Main Street - the arterial road that spines through Koror island...

The Palauan national flag flutters in the breeze...

Koror used to be the capital of Palau till 2006, when the administration shifted to Ngerulmud on Babeldaob island...

The Supreme Court of Palau...

A rock island as we head towards Malakal island...

And it started pouring...

And it poured like cats and dogs...

Bank of Hawaii...
Koror is the main economic centre of Palau. This is where most commercial establishments are located and it is busy by Palauan standards...

The rain played spoilsport but gave me time to get a smart haircut - "make hay while the sun shines"!
