After 6 years, I am so happy to be back in Hong Kong, around the Chinese New Year, that time of the year when Hong Kong descends in to a long series of feverish festivities.
Chek Lap Kok was not immune to the infectious spirit as I discovered, when I landed there from Incheon!
A landing delayed by 10 minutes pooped my plans for Plane Spotting at Chek Lap Kok...
Reverse thrust deployed...
There sets the sun...
That's the new Mid Field Concourse, which has recently opened. I am told that this concourse is excellent for Plane Spotting...
The very distinct ATC tower of Chek Lap Kok comes in view...
After a quick transit security check, I headed towards the departure gates for my flight into Mumbai. I stopped by at Starbucks for a quick tea and a cookie. And I had great time in eavesdropping people's serious conversations about all things trivial and mundane - there is a vicarious pleasure in doing that!
This is the Year of the Red Monkey...
My flight is boarding now...
Kung Hei Fat Choi, Hong Kong...
