Amazing trees in the gardens...

The garden features a huge floral clock, that contains over 7000 flowering plants. The clock was donated to the City of Melbourne by a group of Swiss watchmakers in 1966...

A bronze equestrian statue, of Queen Victoria's successor, King Edward VII stands right behind the flower clock. The statue was designed and sculpted by a Melburnian artist, Bertram Mackennal, and was installed here in 1920...

When Queen Victoria died in 1901, the city decided to have a monument to honour her. A memorial statue was commissioned from sculptor James White showing the Queen in ceremonial gowns casting her regal gaze across ornamental lakes, sweeping lawns and rose gardens to the Melbourne Arts Centre Spire and the city skyscrapers...
