After a good four hour sleep I woke up just in time to see the sun rise, the dawn of a new day, my first Down Under, in Australia...
We had just flown into Australian airspace from the Timor Sea over the city of Darwin...
The sun saluting us with its bright sun rays...
Time to catch up on some entertainment...
Over the Outback - the Great Australian Desert...
Overflying the town of Alice Springs, Alice Springs which is situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre. The town was made popular by Nevil Shute's novel "A Town Like Alice", published in 1950...
And we aren't too far from Uluru, which was previously known as Ayers Rock - the site of a sandstone formation that is 348 metres with a total circumference of 9.4 kilometres. Uluru is considered sacred to the Pitjantjatjara Anangu, the local Aboriginal people...
And for some weird reason I keep getting creeping sense of deja vu, which was indeed quite inexplicable...
Some more entertainment on way...
And some relaxing music before we land at Tullamarine...
