A wedding in the family, which we had to attend meant a "bonus", short trip back home! This trip will barely last three days, and I hope to make the most of it!
The trip started in Incheon last evening, when I boarded the Korean Air Airbus A330 to Bangkok's Suwarnabhumi Airport - now this gets exciting - I am on a Jet Airways code-share ticket. That means, Jet Airways gets to market a few seats on this Korean Air flight and gets its own code on it. So while it is a Korean Air aircraft with a number KE659, Jet Airways has assigned it a flight number 9W4662. And now the good part, I not only earn miles, which I can redeem for free flights within India, but also earn tier points for this journey!
Flying Korean Air is always a great experience - good food, great aircraft and lovely crew. The entertainment options are limited, but that's not such a big deal for 5+ hour flight! And tonight, my movies Up In The Air were the massively entertaining Nia Vardalos starring My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 and Helen Mirren's slick and gripping terror-flick Eye In The Sky...
A lovely Up In The Air moment as we come in to land at Suwarnabhumi!
Bangkok dazzles at night...
And I have a pretty long, a 6 hour layover here, lounging around, but it's time to say สวัสดี ครับ, กรุงเทพมหานคร, Sawadee Krap, Bangkok...
