Today promises to be an exciting Monday! Well, it's exciting because today is a holiday (I love holidays that fall on Mondays) and secondly, I am in Vietnam, and that is a pretty reason to be happy and thirdly, we are headed to the countryside, the Ninh Binh province!
Fueling up for the day, we start off with a breakfast at the hotel, with some healthy Vietnamese delights - a raw papaya salads...
And lo, here comes my pho - a hearty Vietnamese noodle broth with chicken, pork and basil. Nothing could beat this!
Oh wow! Viet Nam Times carries a newsreport on the Bombay Stock Exchange (Asia's oldest and world's largest stock exchange by number of listed scrips) filing for an IPO. This is an IPO I cannot miss when it comes in the next few months...
As we set out for Ninh Binh, we pass by the narrow alleys of the Old Quarter and I envy the conviviality of having a quick breakfast on stools laid out on the street...
Bikes everywhere...
Another breakfast place...
And finally spot some cars...
And a rickshaw...
Heading towards the outskirts of Hanoi...
Am sure the nón lá is a great protection from the sun and the rain...
And I spot the Vietnamese flag. I gotta doze off to rest a while before getting to Ninh Binh...
