Our first stop in the capital of Fiji, Suva, was the Presidential Palace, to witness the change of guard ceremony that happens every hour...
The palace is guarded by Fijian soldiers clad in impressive, starched white sulus and vivid red tunics...
This is a ceremonial dress...
Originally erected in 1882, this place had to be rebuilt following its destruction by lightning in 1921... It is also known as the Government House.
The Presidential Palace which was rebuilt in the year 1928 for the then British Governor is now home to the current president of Fiji, Jioji Konousi Konrote...
A contingent of troops comes marching out...
The soldiers circle around in a well choreographed and rehearsed moves...
And he's the new guard for the hour...
And there he will be for the next one hour...
